Last night the moon was closer to the earth by about 50 million miles more than usual. We had clear but smokey skies to see it, the smoke adding an orange tinge to it's normally pale yellow color. My pictures are a bit fuzzy due to the fact that I was rushing to get away from the mosquitoes but the idea is still there.
