GRAND CANYON  (click on first picture for slide show and larger pictures only)

It truly is grand but so big that it is overwhelming. It's hard to show depth in a picture, this canyon is miles down to the bottom and miles wide. The colors are lovely and make the rock look soft if that's possible. The pictures are self explanatory, what you see is what you see so unless there is something special I won't comment.

The next four pictures are a panorama from left to right.

The next three are various views from different viewpoints. We found that the Grandview point and the view from the village were the best. It always seems to be more of the same thing with just a few variations. I'm not trying to belittle the site though, it is very impressive!

This was a home, now a gift shop//museum, that was built by two brothers who were photographers who made a very good living documenting the visits of those coming to the canyon at that time. It  is well worth the time to go through the exhibits on the lower floor, these were no ordinary men.

The final view. Off to Sedona.
